In some cases when you are using an app, the app suddenly closes unexpectedly and on the device screen displays a message saying “Unfortunately Google Play Services Has Stopped.

1. Update Google Play Services

One of the possible causes for the Unfortunately Google Play Services Has Stopped error may be because you have not updated to the latest version of Google Play Services.

So to fix this you can update to the latest version of Google Play Services on your Android device. Go to Settings => Apps (or Application), click on Google Play Services and select Uninstall updates.

Then download the latest version of Google Play Services for Android devices and install.

2. Clear your cache and Google Play Services data

To clear your Google Play Services cache, follow the steps below:

– Go to Settings.

– Click Apps (on some other Android smartphones can be Manage Apps, App Manager or Applications).

– Find and select Google Play Services.

– Next press Force Stop.

– Click Clear Cache.

If you delete the cache and still do not resolve the issue, you delete your Google Play Services data by:

Go to Settings => Apps => Google Play Services and then click Clear Data.

3. Clear the cache and Google Services Framework data

To clear the Google Services Framework cache, follow these steps:

– Go to Settings.

– Click Apps.

– Click the Google Framework.

– And Click Force Stop.

– Click Clear Cache.

If clearing the cache does not fix the problem, you delete the Google Services Framework data:

Go to Settings => Apps => Google Services Framework and then select Clear Data.

4. Clear your cache and Google Play Store data

To clear your Google Play Store cache, follow the steps below:

– Go to Settings.

– Click Apps.

– Click next to the Google Play Store.

– Then Click Force Stop.

– Finally click Clear Cache.

Delete your Google Play Store data by:

Go to Settings => Apps => Google Play Store => select Clear Data.

5. Restart your Android device

In some cases when encountering any malfunction or error, the quickest and easiest way to fix the problem is to reboot your device.

Press and hold the Power button on your device until a small menu appears on the screen. There you select the Restart option is complete.

6. Connect to Wifi and mobile data

Sometimes, in some cases, the cause of the Google Play Services Has Stopped error may be due to a problem with the Internet connection.

In this case you access Settings, then turn off Wifi and mobile data, then proceed to reopen Wifi and mobile data to check whether the error has been resolved or not?

7. Reset the application

Sometimes resetting the app can help you fix the problem. Unfortunately Google Play Services Has Stopped. All you need to do is:

– Go to Settings.

– Click Apps.

– Click the 3 dash line icon in the top right corner of the Menu.

– And Click Reset app preferences.

– Then select Reset apps.

8. Turn off Location Services.

Go to Settings => Location services and turn off the option.

Finally, check that the Unfortunately Google Play Services error has stopped.

9. Add a Google Account again

All you need to do is delete your Google account then add your Google account again.

– Go to Settings.

– Click on Accounts.

– Find and then select your Google account, then select the Remove account option to delete the Google account on your Android device.

– Go back to Settings => Accounts and select Add account.

10. Reset the data to its original default state

Note: Back up your data before resetting the data to its original state.

All files, personal settings and third party applications will be deleted after reset.
