Cookies are files created by websites you have visited to store browsing information. Cookies are used to maintain status information when you visit different pages on a website or visit the site at another time. For example, after signing in to a website, Cookies lets you browse different pages of that website without having to re-login your username and password. Cookies also save the items you have placed in your shopping cart when visiting online sales sites…
Cookies themselves can not be used to run other programs, nor can they spread viruses, malicious code. However, some cookies may pose a risk of revealing your privacy when tracking the pages you visit.
Unlike cookies, your browser’s cache stores data as you browse the web, including images, sounds, and content you download. Cache memory accelerates website loading when you visit the site the next time. However, the use of memory cache for a long time will reduce the hard drive space, affecting the performance of the computer. In addition, when full cache will reduce browser performance, loading time will also be slower.
Therefore, you should periodically delete Cookies and Cache in the browser to speed up the website loading as well as increase the level of security for the computer.
