You should note the following:

  • Did you see the CMD open by admin?
  • Did you check the correct version of the key?
  • You must retype the command not copy (check the command properly)?
  • You review the network connection

Once you are sure that you have followed the above steps, follow the instructions below:

First Method:

  1. On the start screen of the Windows 8 or Windows 10 device left-click on the Desktop icon you have in the menu.
  2. When you open the desktop, you will need to left click on the start button and left click on the “Command Prompt” icon but be sure to open one with administrator privileges. Note: To open a command prompt with administrative rights you need to right-click the “Command Prompt” icon and left-click on “Run as administrator”.
  3. If prompted by the left click message on the “Yes” button to go further.
  4. In the “Command Prompt” window, you will need to write the following command “slmgr.vbs -ipk YYYYY – yyyyy – yyyyy – yyyyy – yyyyy” Note: Replace the Y in the code with your product key number. And also the product key should have 25 numbers.
  5. Press the “Enter” button on the keyboard.
  6. Write again in the command prompt window the following commands: “slmgr.vbs -ato”.
  7. Press the “Enter” button on the keyboard.
  8. Restart the Windows 8 or Windows 10 device and see if your device gives you the same error.

Second Method:

While on your boot screen, you need to press and hold the “Windows” button and the “R”

A “Run” window will open and you need to write in it “Slui 3”

Press the “Enter” button on the keyboard.

Write in the next window that appears on your system product key.

Left click or click on “Activate” button.

Restart your Windows 8 or Windows 10 device.

Check and see if you still have this problem.

Third Method:

Open the “Command Prompt” window as you did in the first method and with administrator privileges.

Left click on “yes” button if you are prompted by a window.

Type the following command prompt: “sfc / scannow”.

Let sfc scan run and when it is finished restart your Windows 8 or Windows 10 device.

Check and see if you still have that message.

Method Four:

Try calling the Microsoft support team and tell them what error you are getting and ask them to change your product key. In some cases, when you try to use the product key so many times it will be shielded by the server. In this case, you will need to reset the product key by talking to the Microsoft support team.
